Each class is 90 minutes, LIVE over Zoom. Each participant will have access to a recording of the class and supporting materials to help them practice throughout the week.
INTRO OFFER: first class is free for new students
$25 for Individual class
$70 for 3 Classes (Save $5)
$110 for 5 Classes (Save $15)
$200 for the full 10 week series ($50 of savings - equivalent to two free classes!)

All classes are beginner friendly, however it is necessary to be able to get on and off the floor. I will be providing some basic foundational information to every participant following their registration so that we can all be on the same page, allowing you to drop-in at any point during the series.
What will I be learning?
In any Clinical Somatics class, we help our brain create a neural map of certain areas of the body, pandiculate the muscles in these areas to relieve chronic tension, and integrate the new sensations and information with proprioceptive and exploratory movement exercises.
Over the next 10 weeks, we will be engaging the brain-body connection to re-establish sensation, and transform our bodies through awareness. This series will provide you with a rotation of new exercises and approaches to freshen up your home practice. You can expect to gain:
-
a richer perspective of the functioning of your body, with all its unique quirks and asymmetries,
-
tools and guidance to unwind long-held tension
-
greater ease in your posture and movement throughout your daily life

Upcoming Classes
Tune in for a tune up!
Registration is below. This section is simply for you to peek at the upcoming class themes.

Restoring Balance
(Hips & Pelvis)
Tuesday, February 18th
This class is all about dynamic symmetry in the pelvis & hips! The main focus will be on releasing tension in the centre of the body, to allow free and easy movement of pelvis. When you look around at others' bodies, asymmetries and stiffness abound! What might happen if we could build awareness of those unconscious patterns in ourselves? Let's investigate the two halves of our body to begin unwinding some of the most common functional imbalances.

Centre to Periphery
(A Guiding Principle)
Tuesday, February 25th
This class deepens your embodied understanding of a foundational principle of Clinical Somatic Education: working from the centre to the periphery. The sequencing of this class is designed to address tension in the centre (back, front, and sides) to create more freedom in the periphery. This is a principle that can guide healthy movement beyond the context of a class, to improve running form, dance technique, sports performance, simple daily movements, and help you avoid injury in all such areas.

Breath of Life
Tuesday, March 4th
This class guides you through gentle pandiculations to release tension in all of the muscles involved in breathing. We will be exploring the diaphragm, the ribcage, the abdominal wall, and many muscles in the back and shoulders. This week also drops you into a deep exploration of coordination between the breath and full body movement. A full, easy breath is the foundation of health, and essential to the functioning of our neuromuscular system.
